Marketing With the Internet Since 1996 

During more than thirty-five years in the hospitality industry, Neil Salerno worked for several prestigious hotel management companies. 

Since he entered the industry in 1967, he held positions in hotel sales, marketing, and operations. Working his way from front desk associate, food & beverage management, and sales management, Salerno proNeil Salerno - Hotel Marketing Coachgressed during a time of explosive growth in the hotel industry. He has held positions in almost every area of hotel operations and sales; managing hotels from 60 to 1102 rooms.

Student & Teacher

He was privileged to have worked shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the most talented people in the Industry. Many of these people are still mentors to his work today. In 1996, Salerno created his company - Hotel Marketing Coach.

He has also had operational and marketing experience with many franchises such as: Marriott, Holiday Inn, Sheraton, Days Inn, Radisson, Hilton, Embassy Suites, Best Western, Choice, Hampton Inn, and several independent hotels. 

Through the years, Salerno has used his personal experience to create his coaching/mentoring program as a solution to assist companies with the challenge of developing and retaining talented people.

Recognizing the Value of Coaching 

Recognizing the many brilliant people who have touched and shaped his career, he realized how deeply these people influenced his successes. This realization focused his attention on developing techniques to reach-out to  coach and mentor  people into shaping successful work-habits, as his mentors had done with him.

Salerno's coaching programs provide coaching and  support to reinforce new methods and techniques until they become habit. This maximizes the benefits of the continued training you provide to your associates.

Taming the Power of the Internet

The increasing influence of the Internet on the hotel industry captured his focus, in 1996, and inspired him to research and develop methods to design functional web sites, maximize search engine results, manage third-party supplier contribution, manage rates and inventory, and assist hotels to get their fair share of this increasingly competitive environment.

Hotel Revenue Management

Salerno is recognized as an expert in Hotel Revenue Management.  He has worked with companies, large and small, as well as many individual hotels to improve RevPar, revenue per available room, and bottom-line profit.


Salerno has served many franchise and management companies as speaker and presenter for Internet Hotel Website Development and Marketing as well as Hotel Revenue Management.
